I learn from my students, they keep me current and the sharing of ideas and seeing the light bulbs go on is priceless. I will be applying to medical school this next cycle and desire a flexible schedule to meet my financial and educational goals prior to matriculating. As a scholar, I understand the struggles and advocacy a child and/or family faces trying to navigate the world. There is much to learn and collaborating with those that value education and make it a priority is important. As a tutor a small way of mentoring is coaching through new material and refining how and what one spends time doing. Efficiency, thoroughness, and a solid understanding are common themes in my sessions. The strong ethics and a craving for mastery have made me successful in all of my endeavors. As a scholar, I understand the struggles and advocacy a child and/or family faces trying to navigate the world.

Hobbies
My passion for the outdoors and physical activity make me a whole person. There is much to see if we are intentional and enjoy our surroundings. Sessions extending over 1 hours usually involve a stretching or brief walk around stacks so that the student's focus remains optimal. I enjoy kayaking, hiking, archery, badminton, sailing, jogging, baking, gourmet/international cooking and spending time with the intellectually curious. My strong familial background affords me many talents, insights, and key understandings which organically diffuse into sessions, such as when students ask questions, desire advanced knowledge or are just curious about a definition or a meaning. As a native Californian, I know a great deal about local and national history that adds to idiomatic expression explanations and antonym/synonym mastery. Tutoring impacts the family and I offer suggestions on how to incorporate family learning, if desired.
