Experience

Regarding my tutoring experience, I have taught high school math of all levels and physics. My students grades were raised from B's and C's to mostly A's and B's. I myself took all the science and math AP courses in high school and received mostly 5's and some 4's. I work best with one-on-one tutoring and have found it to be much more fulfilling. The full attention I provide to my students in one-on-one sessions is much more helpful for the students and I have seen the work ethics changing during the time I tutored. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in an interdisciplinary major combining Physics and Engineering courses. In addition, I took a wide variety of traditional science/math courses to supplement my study, so I am well versed in the materials I teach. Throughout college I was involved in many research labs, including a Quantum Computing lab, a Microfabrication lab, and a Biomedical Engineering lab. In addition, I spent a year after graduating to work in an Ophthalmology lab at UCSF. I find it amazingly satisfying to be able to put academics into practice and am always looking for ways to apply what I have learned to solve real world problems.

Hobbies

I like to read on philosophical works the most, among other symbolic fictions. My goal is to become a doctor, after much deliberations, and my background really gears me towards innovative healthcare development. I am now finishing my post-baccalaureate education and am in the process of applying for medical school. I approach teaching the same way I approach everything else, with an open mind and an ability to adapt. I expect a lot out of my students since I will put my all into them also.
